Hello everyone! I'm Aranya Dutta, and I'm thrilled to share my college journey with you. As a student in the computer science and engineering program at the prestigious Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology, I've been eagerly anticipating the start of this new chapter in my life.

Before we dive into the heart of the story, let me tell you a bit about myself. I'm a passionate tech enthusiast, captivated by everything related to machines, computers, and software. While I also enjoy playing video games and have developed a deep love for anime over the past three years, today, I want to focus on an unforgettable event – the Academic Induction at my college.

On 26th July 2023, a momentous occasion awaited us freshers. An Academic Induction event was arranged for the freshers joining the college. We were informed via email that we will have to be present at the auditorium of Campus 6, on or before 8 am. Considering the excitement that I had I woke up bright and early at 5:30 am, eager to embark on this new adventure.

After realizing that I still had almost about 2 hours before I leave the hostel room, I decided to take a cold shower and then conduct own my research on what happens during an academic induction. I wanted to be well-prepared and have an idea of what to expect. I found out that the academic induction is a crucial event for all new students, as it provides valuable information about the college's culture, academic policies, and resources available to support us throughout our journey.

As I entered the auditorium, I could feel a mix of excitement and nervousness in the air. It was filled with enthusiastic faces, all eager to start this new phase of their lives. The event kicked off at exactly 8 am with a warm welcome from the college authorities, followed by inspiring speeches from the professors who shared their experiences and tips for success.

Throughout the day, we were introduced to various academic departments and faculty members. They emphasized the importance of discipline, dedication, and hard work in our pursuit of knowledge. They encouraged us to explore different fields of study, participate in extracurricular activities, and make the most of the college's resources to enhance our learning.

One of the highlights of the induction was meeting my classmates. It was an excellent opportunity to make new friends, connect with like-minded individuals. The event came to an end at 1 pm. We returned to our respective hostel and had our lunch.

Later that evening, I had the opportunity to interact with some of the seniors and alumni from the computer engineering department who were present on campus. They graciously shared invaluable insights about college life, offered tips on striking the right balance between academics and personal interests, and even showed me the best places to study on campus. Their guidance and friendly advice left me feeling more confident and excited about this new chapter in my life.

As the academic induction came to a close, I felt a newfound sense of belonging and purpose. I realized that I was now part of a supportive community that values growth and learning. The event left me motivated and eager to begin my journey as a B.Tech CSE student at the Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology.

With a mind filled with ideas and experiences from the academic induction, I returned to my room that evening. It was the perfect time to start working on my website and blog.

Web development seemed like an exciting challenge, and I was determined to learn the necessary skills to create a platform where I could share my college experiences, tech interests, and insights with others.
